What is an AI assistant?

An AI assistant is a tool you already use, like Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, or OpenClaw. When you give it an Efuka API token, it can call the Efuka MCP server to help with rideshare tasks. It runs where you run it, not inside Efuka, and it only does what the MCP server exposes.

Works with your assistant

Efuka exposes a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server. Any assistant that supports MCP can use it, including Claude Desktop, Cursor, and OpenClaw.

What can your assistant do?

Book and manage rides

Create a ride, add stops, check status, see available drivers, and cancel if plans change.

Read and update preferences

Your assistant can read your auto-tip and auto-rating settings and update them on your behalf.

Submit a driver rating

When auto-rating is enabled, your assistant can submit the 1โ€“5 star rating you chose in Settings.

Add a tip on card rides

On card-payment rides, your assistant can add a tip up to $20 or 30% of the fare, based on your settings.

See driver quotes

Your assistant can list available drivers and their quotes. Confirming a driver is a manual step today.

How to connect

  1. Generate an API token

Go to Settings, name your token, and copy it. It is shown only once.

  2. Add the MCP server to your assistant

Point your assistant at the Efuka MCP server and provide your token. Full setup docs are on the public MCP documentation page.

    Read the MCP server docs

  3. Start asking

"Book me a ride to the airport at 3pm with a stop at the grocery store." Your assistant shows matching drivers and quotes; you confirm the one you want.

What the token can access

Your token can only use the Efuka API endpoints listed below. It cannot access your password, payout details, or full payment card number.

  • Read and create your rides
  • See driver quotes and confirm a driver
  • Read and update your preferences
  • Submit a driver rating
  • Add a tip on card-payment rides

Is it safe?

  • Revoke anytime โ€” Disable a token in Settings and it stops working immediately.
  • Shown once โ€” The full token is only displayed when you create it. Efuka stores a hash, not the token itself.
  • No password or payment access โ€” A token cannot sign in, change your password, or access payout or card details.

Current limitations

  • Per-ride quote acceptance budget is now available in Settings. Enable it and set a cap, and your assistant will only auto-confirm drivers whose quotes are within your budget.
  • A confirmation step before auto-rating submission is not available yet. Today the assistant submits the rating you selected in Settings.
  • A user-facing activity log for token actions is now available in Settings.
